Maison Martin Margiela creates its first collection

Maison Martin Margiela creates its first collection of fine Jewellery, bearing the number 12, completing the various Maison Martin Margiela’s lines.

This collection is the result of the creative collaboration between Maison Martin Margiela and the Damiani Group, one of the most renowned Italian jewellery manufacturers worldwide. Since 1924, Damiani has perpetuated the knowledge of the Italian fine jewellery tradition, combining craftmen’s work expertise, high quality materials, exclusive design and innovative technology.

The Collection A collection of 14 items, inspired from the XXL concept, divided in 3 lines: Chevalière Signet rings become bracelets, pendants and rings (with or without diamond).

Earrings Magnified pierced earrings are transformed into rings or pendants.

Chain A chain of giant oval links wraps around the neck, finger or wrist.

Materials Yellow gold, pink gold, silver, diamond.

Distribution This collection will be available from November 2008 only in Maison Martin Margiela shops as well as in an exclusive selection of fashion retailers throughout the world.

La Maison Martin Margiela lance sa première collection de joaillerie, elle porte le numéro 12 et complète les différentes lignes de la Maison. Cette collection, fruit d’une collaboration entre la Maison Martin Margiela et le groupe Damiani, un des fabricants de joaillerie italienne les plus renommés au monde. Depuis 1924, Damiani perpétue la tradition de la haute joaillerie italienne en associant le savoir-faire artisanal, les matériaux de haute qualité, le design et l’innovation technologique. La collection Une collection de 14 pièces s’inspirant du concept XXL se décline en trois propositions : Chevalière Des chevalières démesurées deviennent des bracelets, pendentifs et bagues (avec ou sans diamant). Boucles d’oreille D’immenses boucles d’oreille-clous se transforment en bague ou en pendentif. Chaîne Une chaîne à maillons ovales géants s’enroule autour du cou, du doigt ou du poignet. Matériaux Or jaune, or rose, argent. Diamants brillants. Distribution La collection de la ligne 12 sera disponible à partir de novembre 2008 uniquement dans les boutiques Maison Martin Margiela ainsi qu’une sélection exclusive de boutiques de mode à travers le monde.
